Kenzie's 7 month (6 month check up)

Not really surprising, (just like Landon's 6 month checkup), we got Kenzie's 6 month checkup when she was 7 months.

The surprising part - at 7 months, they weighed the exact same!!  But Landon was 1.5 inches taller - which is why he was in the 30% in weight and Kenzie is the 65%. 

She weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and was 26 inches tall.  She wasn't really sure about laying naked on the scales...and started crying when I moved too far away (she's really become a mama's girl.)  She did okay with the shots, cried a little with both of them.  Luckily we'd had time to nurse in the room before the dr got there, so that helped.

She's growing up too fast.  She now pulls up on anything she can find.  If she's sitting and you try to reach for her, she'll grab your hands so she can pull up and walk.  She LOOOOOOVVVVVVVVEEEEESSSSS to walk.  She'll stand on her own for about 5-7 seconds before she tries to reach for something...and she's gotten really good at standing at one toy and moving to the other.

She isn't "crawling" but she'll go up on one knee, scooch a little and roll down, then back on the knee, scooch, etc.  She can get to anything she wants.

She has really become a mama's girl.  Bryan hardly gets to hold her.  As soon as she sees me, she starts pushing off of him, trying to get to me.

OH!! We have this little dinosaur we bought for landon - it has holes for balls that you put in and then the balls roll down slides...she figured out the slide really fast.  She was putting all her toys on them and pushing them down.  Then she discovered Landon's mini skateboard ramp and realized her toys would slide down it too.

Landon's growing up too.  I can't believe how big he is...still skinny of course - since he won't eat anything.  He's ready for his birthday and for kindergarten.  He loves playing the PS3 with his dad or wrestling Dad on the trampoline.  He's still so good with Kenzie, giving her toys, playing with her.  Its awesome to see them together.  He still loves my hair and although he sleeps with all his ducks, he still on occasion asks if he can have my hair. 

He has lots of friends at school - they all hug every time they see each other or leave each other.  But his best friend is Mason.  They're inseparable.  I think if they could live together they would do it.  They play pretty well together, very few arguments - which they can usually resolve themselves.  Luckily they'll be going to the same school next year (whew!)  Lan also loves Mason's sister, Emersyn.  She's a doll and loves chasing the boys or getting them to chase her. 

Lan told me this week he has a girlfriend, but it's a secret and he never told anyone.  It's a girl in his class.  He tells me, "mom - she always says my name. And she always hugs me."  LOL...too young for that!

Both kids are great, healthy and well behaved.  We're very blessed!

Mackenzie - 2 months

Mackenzie went in for her two month check up today.  First, let me say that 1) she went to sleep by herself last night in the crib.  I put her in there (she was wide awake) and let her watch her mobile for a while.  Then I turned her on her stomach (currently her favorite way to sleep.)  A little while later I checked on her and she was asleep.  2) She slept until 5:40!  I didn't realize it was so long when I woke up.  She's been waking up between 3 and 4.  Needless to say, I was soaked.

Two months - she's 11 pounds, 2 ounces (60%) and 22.75 inches (67%.)  Dr. I was impressed with her.  Mk laughed and coo'ed during the whole appointment (and the 30 minutes we waited in the room before the doctor came in.)  She has gone up from the 16th percent in weight to 60th percentile.  I've said it many times, she's a great eater.

She got 3 shots today and one oral immunization.  She cried just a little bit and was over it in less than 30 seconds.

After a little bit of tylenol, she seems to be doing okay.  She was whimpering in her sleep early, broke my heart.  Of course after she woke up, she was all smiles.

Four Year Old Checkup

Landon had his four year old check up yesterday.  He was fantastic at the doctor's office.  (He's always great, so I'm very nervous about this little girl coming into our lives...)

Landon weighs 36.6 pounds and is 41.25 inches tall.  That's 20% for weight and 80% for height.  Yeah, not my genes.  That's for sure.  Maybe his uncle Chad's, who is 6'2 and weighs about a buck o' 5 - okay, he prolly weighs more than that, but you get the picture.

He got three vaccines, one being for the chickenpox.  Man, what I would have given for a chicken pox vaccine when I was a kid.  I'll have to scan some pictures of when I had them - worst case I've ever heard of.  In my throat, my nose, everywhere.  It was horrible.

Back to Landon - after the checkup (shots) Bryan and I met up and took Landon to the movies to see "How to Train Your Dragon"  - SO CUTE!  Landon loved it.  We will definitely buy it when it comes out on DVD.

3 Year Stats

I know, I'm a few months off, but we just now go Landon's 3 year well baby done.

He's 31.2 pounds, and measures 38 1/4 inches tall.

Also, his six year molars (on the bottom) seem to be coming in. Which explains why he started putting his hands in his mouth again.

Everything else checked out well too. Such a great kid.

2 Year Checkup

We went in yesterday for Landon's 2 year well baby. He's doing great. (Except for the fact that he's still sleeping in mom and dad's bed.) He weighed 26 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 35 1/4 inches tall. Which puts him just over 25th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height.

He only had to get one shot, but after that, I gave him some tylenol and we went and laid in bed and watched some crazy cartoon. I slept, he kept waking me up. Dad finally got home and took him outside to help water the yard.

He's a growing boy.

4 Month Checkup

Landon went to the doctor today for his 4 month checkup. He's exactly 4 months today! He weighed 13 pounds and was just a tad over 24 inches. He's still in the very bottom percentile, but he's right on in development. Of course he was a show off, smiling and laughing. That is until he got his shots. Just when he had fallen asleep they called us back for the shots...oh, he was so sad. It kills me knowing that it hurts him and I can't do anything about it!

The doc also suggested going ahead with cereal for the next two weeks. So, I guess we'll start that tomorrow. Maybe that will get him back to sleeping through the night (although I've read that's just a wive's tale...but I can still hope.)

He's trying really hard to roll from his back to his stomach, but his arm keeps getting the way. Its so cute to watch, though. He tries SO hard.

Oh, and he's laughing! Its great.
