New House

SOOOO much has happened in the last two weeks. Which actually feel more like 12 weeks, but yep, only two.

We closed on the new house, got all of our furniture and junk out of the old house...and painted the new house, put up blinds, new lights, ceiling fans, etc, etc, etc.

Landon loves the new house. It's a two story with a great game room upstairs. That's where Landon drags everyone as soon as they come through the door. Landon's bedroom is upstairs and he got a big boy bed (Full size) for Christmas. He's been sleeping up there too (lol - i go up about 4ish and sleep the rest of the night with him, mainly cause I'm too tired once I get him back asleep to get up and go back downstairs.)

We've been working hard on the new house. My in-laws came down and helped SO much. They helped us paint, then schlepped everything out of our old garage over to the new house. The good thing is that we're only 2 and a half blocks away from our old house AND we sold the old house to our best friend, so he's being reasonable about us getting everything out of the garage.

Lan's learning all kinds of stuff. He surprises us every day with something new. He has also become a monkey. He climbs EVERYTHING, mostly me and my head. He must think I'm one great jungle gym. He was showing us the sing langauge from his baby einstein video...I didn't even realize he'd picked it up yet. But he knows tree, puzzle, blocks, flower, its so cute to see his little hands trying to make the signs.

His favorite character right now is 'Goopy' (goofy) - from Micky Mouse. He loves yelling out 'GOOOOPY' as soon as he sees any dog that resembles the cartoon. He also loves to say Ma-ma, over and over to make sure I'm paying attention to whatever he's doing. And "sit-sit-sit" to sit down and play with him. Outside is his other most used word.

Since the move, he's really become attached to his Pacifier (Maa, as he calls it.) I'm sure he needs a security object with all the changes going around, but I really wish we could get it away from him before it gets worse.

  1. Congratulations on a new house! I hate moving, but living in a new place is so much fun.
