Standing

Landon can now pull himself up to standing in his crib. And he's very confident about it. I only had my camera phone, so the picture's not great quality.

He also had pizza for the first time last night. Well, actually he just gnawed on the crust while mom and dad ate. (Again, camera phone.)

It was about 75 degrees when we dropped him off at daycare today, but its only going to be 30+ when I pick him up. That's crazy. We found a coat yesterday at Baby Depot, I couldn't believe how hard it was to get a coat. We also found his Christmas outfit. A snowman sweater from Children's Place and some corduroy's from Carters. And a little snowman bib.

Here's some other great pictures. He is just growing up too fast.
Landon eating a biter biscuit - those things are so gummy.

And Landon in the bath, playing with Mr. Frog.

Here Comes December!

This is where I would typically post Landon's Thanksgiving pictures, but guess what, our battery died before I could take the first picture.

We woke up Thursday morning, played around for a while, watched the Macy's parade. Then I made some gingerbread men, a cheese dip and I tried my hand at my mom's caramel corn. Apparently the recipe that works in West Texas doesn't quite work down here. It never would really caramelize. So we ended up with something more like taffy corn.

We had lunch at my cousin's house in Sugarland. Landon LOVED the hardwood floors. He could turn and move so easily. And he had a great time playing with his cousin Lizzie. I don't think she was too happy when he kept trying to grab the candyland board game. She told me that we "really definitely should buy him this game."

Lunch was delicious. Everything was so great. And there was so much, I almost didn't finish my sweet potatoes (since I save them for last.) We had a great time laughing and chatting, watching Landon. Landon, Lizzie and I went out back after dessert to pick up pecans. We only found a few, since they'd already been out there and collected all of them. Lizzie wanted to know if we had pecan trees at our house. I said no, just pear trees. She said she knew how to grow pecan trees and that we should try it so we could have pecans next year. She said to get a pecan and plant it and then we would have a tree that had pecans on it. That we also needed to water it. I asked if we needed to feed the tree and she replied, "yeah, probably bird feed or something."

We left Kim's early to head to Nicole's house. They had finished up dinner there and were watching a movie, waiting for dessert. Kim H. and I played with Landon, he was pretty sleepy by then, so he wasn't too interesting. Then it was home for a bath and bed.

On Friday, Bryan put up the lights on the house. I had the Christmas tree up and decorated. We actually went out to the stores, Target and Walmart, neither were very crazy. I think we walked out with a rattle for Landon and that's about it.

I put up half the lights in the bushes yesterday, I'll have to finish the rest today. We bought a motion detector light which Bryan installed last night. We also found a tree skirt to match our decorations. And Bryan got up lighting for the front of the house. I guess he'll be working on that this weekend.

Landon update: He's now weighing 19 pounds 6 ounces. He's in 12 month clothing. His bottom two teeth are completely out. His top right is working its way out. He can say "Mama, Dada, Daddy, Puppy, Ball, Goya and Ga, ga, ga" Bryan thinks he's trying to say Gator (as in Florida Gators.) He's eating finger foods, drinking from a bottle or a sippy cup. Eating three meals a day. Sleeping through the night (8:30 - 6:30.) Pulling up on stuff, crawling (more like scooting) backwards. The boy is like a monkey. He laughs pretty much all the time. And always wants to know where Mama and Daddy are, and if they're both in sight, he has to know what the puppies are doing.

I'm heading to the mall today. I've got to find a Christmas outfit for Landon. And I've been looking everywhere for Christmas pajamas. Hopefully we can get pictures done this week and have them ready to mail next week.

Landon Pulled Up

Good thing we have a four day weekend. We'll need all four days to baby proof our house. Landon learned how to pull himself up to standing.

Last night, I needed to change the laundry over to the dryer. I sat Landon in the empty laundry basket while I moved the clothes, I feel something on my leg and look over to see Landon standing up, holding on to the top of the basket. I thought maybe he just got lucky, so I let him try it again on the baby gate. Yep, he can do it. Thus the baby proofing.

We bought Landon a little toboggan (winter hat) yesterday. Its orange and blue and looks like a dinosaur. Its been cold here in the mornings, so I wanted something to cover his little ears. He didn't mind too much this morning, but flung his mittens off as soon as we got in the car.

Landon's also started a new ritual. Dirty Diapers in the morning. Can't he wait til he gets to daycare? LOL. Nope, every morning, right after I get him dressed. Little stinker (literally.)

Big Boy Jammies

Landon's Grandma bought him some big boy PJs. You know the kind with the white footies for traction. We decided to get 12 month, so he could wear them into the winter months.

HAHAHAHA!

I put them on last night, and guess what, they fit. He's just growing up too fast.
Here's a picture of Landon and Mason (our cocker spaniel.)

Here's the pictures of Landon falling asleep after dinner.

And this is just a cute picture from this morning. Bry and Landon were playing a little football before work.

Weekend with Grandma and Grandpa

We had a great weekend (no I'm not being sarcastic.) It was actually very nice. They spoiled Landon beyond belief. I think he even started to say Ga-mmm. It seems like we were out all weekend, though now that I think about it, I can't really think what we did.

On Saturday, Landon and I stayed home to eat supper while Bry went out with his parents. The boy fell asleep in his high chair. I know you see those video's all the time. Yeah, it was that hilarious. Instead of taking him out and laying him down, I ran and got the camcorder. I took a pic, I'll have to post it when I get them uploaded.

We spent Bry's birthday (Monday) in the dentist office. All day. We all had our teeth cleaned, then Mark worked on Bryan's Dad's mouth the rest of the day. Poor guy, had two extractions. We went out to eat at Chili's when we finally got back to our side of town (around 8:30.) Instead of putting Landon in a high chair, we put him in a booster seat between Bry and me. Oh man, he loved it. He was right at table height. He was going crazy. Laughing, squealing, grabbing menus, napkins, my fajita pita. He crashed by the time we got home.

He loves playing peek-a-boo. I put a diaper rag on his head and he pulls it off. Now, he lets it sit there for a while and I can hear him laughing. He is just so much fun.

Wave Bye Bye

Landon is just getting so big. It just amazes me everyday.

He's doing awesome sleeping through the night. And, oh my gosh, he's just too cute in the morning. Bry's off work today and his parents are in town. I got up early, didn't sleep well last (headache.) So I went in to check on Landon before I left. He does the cutest thing in the morning. He's always on his tummy. When you go in the room, he lifts his head and tilts it all the way back with a big smile on his face. Maybe I'll get this on camera. I love it. He's just so happy to see me in the morning.

I made breakfast while Bry took a shower. Oatmeal and prunes. Yummy. Bryan came in as we were finishing up and helped Landon with some Banana puffs. As I was getting ready to leave, saying Bye-Bye to Landon. He lifted his little chubby hand and waved bye! I run to get the camera, and yep, he stops. Little stinker.

I'm sure he's having fun with Grandma and Grandpa right now.

Poo Poo Time Out

Let me start by saying that Nicole is a great friend! She watches Landon every Tuesday night so Bry and I can play volleyball. Every. Tuesday.

This week's story: Landon's been great, had his bananas and strawberries, just sittin on the mats with Nicole over by the bleachers. First point in volleyball, good. We get ready to serve the second point, and I hear, "Jodie! Jodie!" I look over, and
Nicole says, "We've had an explosion."
Jodie: "What?"
Nicole: "An Explosion!"

At which point she turns Landons back to me and the poor baby has poop all up his back. Poor guy.

Jodie: "Time out, time out."
Ref: "Oh my gosh, yeah, go, time out, go, go"

LOL. We got Landon all cleaned up and he was happy the rest of the match.

First Word!!!

Well, besides Goya - which Landon repeats when he falls asleep...the baby said "Puppy!"

In fact, he said, "puppy, puppy" then Bryan and I went crazy and tried to get him to repeat it...he just started laughing.

Then he started saying "pup, pup, pup, pup"

Oh man.

Halloween

Landon enjoyed his first Halloween. We got home, had some oatmeal, sweet potatoes, prunes and cheerios - sounds like a good dinner, huh. Then we suited up, took pictures and headed out. The lady across the street had a table set up with candy. She ooh'ed and aah'ed over Landon who just stared back at her like "get me out of this costume." She told Landon to come over anytime for cookies, that she had a "grandmother's house" and would always have a treat for him. Next was our next door neighbor. Landon wanted to play in her candy bowl. All the shiny chocolate candy wrappers looked great to him.

We went by Danny's, Landon sat for a while there, trying to eat through a Twix package. Then to our friend, Nicole's house. He fell asleep after that, and was zonked out for two other friend's houses (both whom had already run out of candy.)

We changed him to his pj's and put him in bed. He never woke up. In fact, Bryan went in around 4 to check on him. He slept all the way until 6:30 this morning. Maybe we should go trick or treating every night!
