Well, Landon may be moving up to a convertable car seat. We purchased the Evenflo Titan (rated #1 on Consumer Reports and a best buy from Baby Bargains.) It's not that he's outgrown his infant seat, he just isn't happy in it. And with a 10 hour car trip next weekend, well, you know.
OH!! And we may have a tooth in the next few days or weeks. His left bottom front tooth is trying to push through. Poor guy, he's not very happy about it. His cough is getting better, but he still has it (at night is the worst.)
I love DVR. Lucky for us, after he went down, we watched all the new shows, Grey's, CSI, The Office. Then when we get ready to get in bed, literally, pulling the covers down, he starts coughing. It's like he knew we were about to go to bed without him. His cough is much better when he's in our room - probably because his head is propped up by my arm and the pillow.
Don't forget to watch Law and Order tonight - its about a "celebrity" who almost drops her baby. Yeah, not trying to depict anyone in particular in that episode. Ha!

More Pictures
Okay, more pictures. First, though, Landon's cough has returned. We're running the humidifier at night (seems pointless in Houston, but we're doing it anyway.) Any other suggestions???

Landon's bath time (cute little grin)
And his new teddy bear that he ADORES.

Peek-a-Boo
Real quick - Landon is doing OH SO MUCH better. Yay.
On Saturday, Landon and I were laying (lying - whatever) in bed. He grabbed his diaper rag and pulled it over his head, then pulled it down - playing peek-a-boo. Once I realized what he was doing, I started the whole game of "Where's Landon?" "Peek-a-boo" - he thought it was great! He kept pulling the rag up, then back down, up, down. Too funny.
Oh, and I thougth he had forgotten how to do his little scream/squeal. Nope, he knows it well, and so does every one else at church. I tried to keep the paci in his mouth, but he was just squealing around it. And he thought it was. so. funny. Probably didn't help that Mom and Dad were laughing, trying to get him to be quiet. Little stinker.

Side Walker
Landon's slowly getting better. Night before last, we stayed up all night - until 6:15(AM), when he finally fell asleep in his swing. Then he didn't nap more than 20 minutes a time yesterday. He finally went to bed at 9 last night, Bryan decided to sleep in the babies room cause he's still feeling sick too. So they're both in Landon's room, with the humidifier and the menthol, and mama's sleeping like a baby with no baby kicking her in the stomach and no daddy snoring. Anyway, Bryan and Landon come in our bedroom around 4:45am - Bryan says Landon hasn't been sleeping at all, and now they're both exhausted and could I take the baby and let him go back to the babies room and sleep. Sure thing...I get the tylenol out, give Landon a dose, and less than 10 minutes later, we're both asleep. YAY, mom gets more than 6.5 hours of sleep.
A side note, we watched Lucky Number Sleven last night - it was really good. I love Morgan Freeman, but the whole thing was very strange, good strange.
So, to the title of this post. My baby side-walked. LOL. Before I take him out of his crib, I pull him up and let him hang on the side. I keep my hand behind him to keep him from crashing...but on Tuesday, I was doing this, and he side stepped all the way to the other end of the crib!! Yay big boy!! He's also doing a really good job of sitting by himself. (Translation, he sits longer now before he leans, then falls to the side.)

Sick Baby
Poor Landon. He's been congested since Friday night. He woke up in the middle of the night, with a terrible cough. I brought him to our bed (okay, Bryan went and got him.) He slept okay. We've been using vapor rub, vapor bath, a humidifier, and nose aspirator. Poor baby.
But he's still in a pretty good mood for the most part, except when he's trying to drink a bottle and he can't breathe. Bryan was sick today too, so the boys stayed home together.
He slept in his bed all night Saturday night and woke up and just started playing with his toys in there. Too cute. And I think his hair is starting to come back. We'll see about that I guess.
Our friend Danny came over and watched him (while watching LSU play) while Bryan and I did our 5 miler. Yay us! We did and didn't pass out.

Go Eastern!
Landon's finally big enough to wear his ENMU (Eastern New Mexico University) shirt. Plus it has a shuttle on it (although we scrubbed again today.)
The sleeping is going pretty good. He slept with us two nights this past week, all the other nights, he stayed in his crib and didn't even cry. He's such a good boy.
He knows to reach out his hands now, when he wants you. He reached for Daddy last night. He also has learned what the sound of a bottle being shaken means and is ready to go to whoever is holding it.
He loves bath time in the big tub. He tries to gather all his toys, if you gets out of reach, he thinks he can get it with his feet. Either that or he wants to stand up. In fact, he pretty much wants to stand up all the time.
Here's some cute pictures from the last week:
