Gag Reflex

So Landon has inherited his mother's gag reflex. Starting Tuesday night, he has been gagging, then vomiting...projectile vomiting. He eats just fine. Its later, he starts coughing, then gagging, then the vomit. Once on Tuesday, then again Wednesday night, Thursday morning, at daycare and last night at the house. He kept breakfast down today. He doesn't act sick at all. He isn't fussy, or feverish, or anything. He does have a tooth coming in on top and he does have a snotty nose. Any suggestions? When he does it, it seems like he's choking on the mucous in his throat. I've been trying to keep him suctioned out. So maybe that will help.

Finally, some pictures. Isn't he just so cute.

Guess this paci is pretty funny! (He was probably trying to make me eat it.)

  1. Landon is so adorable! Ellie always tries to make me eat her paci, too. That is just the funniest thing to them, I guess.
I love Landon's little outfit. Such a happy boy!

I have no idea what to do about the vomiting. Ugh, not fun. But I guess as long as he seems to feel ok and is still keeping food down? My niece used to throw up every time she had a coughing fit. Lasted until she was like 5. (sorry, that was probably not very comforting)

  2. I love these pictures! J. has the same learning table, and loves playing with it. We keep it on the Spanish setting just for fun, and I've found myself walking around signing the colors in Spanish!

I hope the spitup gets better - maybe it's one of those things he'll grow out of. And I think you're probably correct about the mucous causing it.

  3. I have no suggestions about the gagging, but I just have to say, once again, how cute he is. He reminds me a lot of Lila. Their little noses are just the same.
